Police Catch Suspected Teen Peeping Tom 1-12-2011

Bad Axe police were called to a home on W. South Street in response to a Peeping Tom complaint.
A homeowner said that his teen daughter had just stepped out of the shower when she observed a camera pressed against the bathroom window.
She screamed and told her dad someone was outside the window.
The father went outside and told police he was unable to catch the person he saw running from the house.
After an officer followed a set of boot tracks in the snow, a suspected juvenile Peeping Tom was identified about four blocks away.
Once authorities secured a warrant, a camera and a pair of boots were seized as evidence.
Bad Axe Police Chief David Rothe said the case appears to be an isolated incident.
It has been forwarded to the Huron County prosecutor’s office for further review.
