City Takes Wraps Off Newly Rehabbed Homes 1-13-2011

Five city-owned homes will be completely renovated and made ready for five Saginaw families.
The Federal Neighborhood Stabilization program used a portion of its $17.4 million in federal money for demolition, rehabilitation and new construction on the homes.
They want to use the houses to draw the eyes of passers-by to uplift and restore a positive outlook within several older neighborhoods.
Those looking to buy one of the "like-new" homes must meet several qualifications.
They can't make more than $64,900 for a family of four, or $45,450 for an individual.
Also they must attend an eight-hour home counseling session and have a dependable income.
The newly revitalized houses are located at the following addresses:
525 S. Alexander 1305 Brockway 1659 Stanley 705 S. Wheeler 722 S. Wheeler
There will be an open house Sunday, Jan. 16, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at all the houses.
