Saginaw Records First Homicide Of New Year 1-17-2011

Police in Saginaw said they have a person of interest in custody in connection to the city’s first homicide of 2011.
Officers were called to the 700 block of South Bond Street, which is on the city’s west side, on Sunday afternoon.
Police identified the victim on Monday as 52-year-old Jay Allen Kolhoff, a former Carrollton resident. Neighbors say he had been living in the apartment for the past 10 months.
It's believed the victim and suspect knew each other and may have had a dispute over money, according to WNEM TV5's Brian Wood.
The suspect in the case is expected to be charged with open murder.
