Mauling VictimÂ?s Mom: No Jail For DogÂ?s Owner 1-20-2011

A case involving a pit bull that attacked an 8-year-old boy has been adjourned.
The incident happened in Bay City when Cameron Everett was walking home from a friend’s house two weeks ago and the dog pounced on him. Everett required more than 100 stitches to his leg.
Wednesday night, Everett's mother said the dog's owner, Harry McDaniel, should not go to prison.
McDaniel faces charges of owning a dangerous animal causing serious injury, after prosecutors said his dog attacked Cameron.
If convicted, McDaniel could spend up to six years in prison.
On Thursday morning, the judge suspended the case until McDaniel’s defense is ready to proceed.
