Former Saginaw Apartments To Be Renovated 1-25-2011

City Council members approved a plan to give one of Saginaw’s oldest apartment complexes a total makeover.
According to the Saginaw News, officials approved a $148,900 contract with St. Clair Shores-based Cornerstone Architects to lay out renovations to the former Jefferson Apartments, 505 Millard.
Last year, the city bought the vacant 40-unit complex for $160,000.
The money to pay for the restoration project will come from a federal stimulus grant.
The apartments opened in 1925, the newspaper reported.
