3 Arrested In Multi-County Burglary Ring Bust 1-25-2011

The Isabella County Sheriff's Department says more arrests are on the way after stolen property was recovered and three men were arrested in connection with 104 burglaries that spanned six counties.
In November 2009, the Isabella County Sheriff’s Department began to get reports of seasonal homes that had been broken into in the northwest part of the county.
Over the course of the next several months, additional seasonal homes and outbuildings had been broken into and items of value were taken.
A check of surrounding counties determined that Clare, Osceola and Mecosta counties were also having seasonal homes broken into.
A task force consisting of detectives from each of the four counties, as well as detectives from the Michigan State Police posts in Reed City and Mount Pleasant was convened in July of 2010.
The detectives compared notes and shared information from each of their cases. It was also learned the same types of crimes occurred in Gladwin and Roscommon counties.
Six months later, the Isabella County Sheriff’s Department said three individuals have been arrested in connection to the burglaries. The Sheriff’s Department said it is certain more arrests and charges are forthcoming.
Deputies arrested 31-year-old Lucas Alexander Williams, from Remus, Mich., Michael Louis Dunklee, 31, of Mt. Pleasant, Mich. and Robert Frank Guynn Jr., 32, of Weidman, Mich. Each man has been charged with one count of breaking and entering. Police said additional charges may be pending against them.
Detectives said 104 burglaries and larcenies have been solved. They said more than $209,000 in stolen property has been recovered, some of it from as far away as Ohio.
Items that have been recovered include two Kubota tractors, a six-wheel-drive Ranger, 10 all-terrain vehicles, seven firearms, two tandem-axle trailers, a zero-turn radius lawn mower, two riding lawn mowers, televisions, log splitters and tools.
