A judge waved a preliminary exam Thursday for a Saginaw man accused of stabbing a dog with a samurai sword.
Trenton John Rambo, 35, is facing a single count of killing or torturing an animal. His case will now head to Circuit Court.
Police said Rambo stabbed his neighbor’s dog in the neck with samurai sword. The dog, a 4-year-old female Alaskan husky named Mekie, had to undergo emergency surgery and is still recovering. It happened in the 1600 block of North Woodbridge.
If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of four years in prison or a fine up to $5,000.
Rambo will remain in custody until his next court appearance.
