Snowmobile Crash Seriously Injures 2 Children 1-31-2011

Two children have been hospitalized following a snowmobile crash Saturday afternoon in Gratiot County.
The Gratiot County Sheriff’s office said a 13-year-old boy and his 9-year-old sister were seriously injured when the sled they were on hit a tree.
The impact threw both from the snowmobile. Neither child was wearing a helmet, authorities said.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. on Lumberjack Road in Sumner Township.
Both children were flown to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw.
