Teen Takes Plea Deal In Riverwalk Sex Assaults 2-07-2011

A Bay City teen has struck a deal with Bay County prosecutors in a sexual assault case that happened along Bay City’s Riverwalk Rail-Trail.
Nicholas P. Johnson, 15, was charged as an adult and pleaded guilty to assault with intent to commit sexual penetration.
The deal means he'll avoid a trial.
The attacks occurred three days apart, beginning on Aug. 1 when a 29-year-old woman told police a teen tried to push her down and sexually assault her.
On Aug. 4 a 55-year-old woman was jogging at the Riverwalk when a teen approached her and touched her inappropriately, police said.
Johnson was taken into custody a few days later and was being lodged at the Bay County Juvenile Center on a $250,000 bond.
