Bay City Celebrates Black History Through Music 2-12-2011

The McDonald's Corporation, The Dow Corning Corporation, Delta College and Copoco Community Credit Union will team up with Bay City’s local branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People for a second time to celebrate Black History.
The theme for the Feb. 12 event is Celebrating A History Through Music.
The event will take place from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the State Theatre in downtown Bay City.
This year's event will feature the best of the blues and gospel music the region has to offer, featuring Detroit native Luther 'Bad Man' Keith performing his unique style of music.
The Black History event will feature for the first time the Great Lakes Bay Gospel All Stars, who are a collaboration of talented singers from the local region.
The public is invited to attend this entertaining celebration of the arts with a free general admission ticket.
Tickets are available at the door and through NAACP members.
WNEM TV5 is a proud media sponsor of the celebration.
