Bridgeport High School is stepping up security after the school dismissed students early on Friday.
Students told TV5 there was some kind of disagreement or fight, and that rumors have been circulating on Facebook.
As classes began on Tuesday, kids had to go through metal detectors as they entered the building.
“You had to take everything out of your pockets and stuff and I don't know, they were just searching us, made us take off our shoes and socks,” said one student.
The superintendent told TV5 Tuesday’s use of metal detectors was a drill, but she said students may see the equipment again this week.
Officials also said one student ran this morning after he saw the scanners. A staff member caught up with him and officials said a search turned up nothing.
Some students told the Saginaw News they stayed home from school on Monday due to the threats.
