Troopers Stop Man Driving Wrong Way On I-75 2-15-2011

State Police stopped a man for driving the wrong way on Interstate 75 on Tuesday morning.
The Ohio man, in his late 70s, was heading home from visiting his brother in Bay City around 11:30 a.m.
Bridgeport State Police post troopers said the man became turned around near the Clio exit in Genesee County and was driving northbound in the southbound lanes.
Police said he drove into Saginaw County, where the trooper drove through an opening in the cement median barrier and was able to flag the man down near the Maple Road overpass, north of Birch Run.
The man managed to drive wrong way approximately seven or eight miles, police said.
Troopers said the man was disoriented due to low blood sugar. He was taken to St.Mary’s Medical Center in Saginaw for treatment.
Authorities said no one was hurt.
