Pedestrian Struck; Motorist Blames Sun Glare 2-23-2011

A woman was struck by an SUV in downtown Saginaw on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred while the victim was crossing East Genesee Avenue near Water Street at about 8 a.m.
The driver told officers at the scene she did not see the woman walking because she was blinded by a glare from the sun, police said.
Police did not release any information about the victim's condition or identity. The driver of the SUV was uninjured.
The incident is still under investigation.
