Deal Struck: Sanford Lake Saga Nearing End 3-01-2011

An agreement between the Sanford Lake Preservation Association, a group of Sanford Lake homeowners and Boyce Hydro, LLC means Sanford Lake water levels should be ready by the start of boating season this spring.
About a dozen people contributed toward the $83,000 repair bill to Boyce Hydro after work on the dam was halted late last year.
The company said it could no longer afford the repairs to reinforce the dam’s existing structure after lowering the water levels.
Officials said the work will take four to five weeks to complete.
