Man Taken Into Custody After Daylong Search 3-10-2011

TV5 has learned that the man authorities have been searching for in Bay County is in custody.
The 42-year-old Bay County resident was arrested at an undisclosed location around 4 p.m.by Michigan State troopers.
Police had initially shut down Bay City Road from Rockwell to the Midland Civic Arena. Authorities raided a home in search of the man linked to a domestic dispute, but at that time he was not found. The road has since reopened.
The manhunt stems from a domestic incident that started Thursday morning. Police told TV5 the man assaulted his wife and then fled the scene.
In a release late Thursday evening, Bay City Police said the victim suffered minor injuries from the assault.
Police said In addition to the assault, the man attempted to abduct the victim, but she was able to escape and run to a neighbor's home for help.
During the manhunt, authorities had said the man was armed, but that he was not considered a threat to other people.
