Midland Students Help Pack Food For Hungry 3-12-2011

About 400 students teamed up with Kids Against Hunger to package rice-based meals for the hungry on Saturday.
Students from the Midland Public Schools worked from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Central Intermediate School in Midland.
They raised more than $14,000 for the event which allowed them to package 50,000 meals.
A third of the meals stay in Midland County, another third go to U.S. disaster relief and the last third to the starving around the world.
Grants came from Dow Chemical Company Foundation and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
