New 'Pure Michigan' Ads Hit National Airwaves 3-14-2011

Starting Monday, many folks across the United States will get a firsthand look at Michigan's latest tourism ad campaign.
Twenty-four cable networks will air the popular Pure Michigan campaign touting the state’s tourism industry.
Last week, Gov. Rick Snyder signed a bill extending the travel promotion advertising campaign.
The legislation allows an additional $10 million to be transferred to Pure Michigan from the state's 21st Century Jobs Fund. That's double the previous amount and raises overall Pure Michigan funding for this budget year to $25 million, as Snyder requested.
The award-wining radio and television campaign is ranked among the Top 10 tourism campaigns of all time by Forbes Magazine.
Pure Michigan television commercials will air nationally through June on the following cable networks: A&E, ABC Family, Animal Planet, Bravo, CMT, CNN, Cooking Channel, E!, Food Network, Fox, Golf Channel, HGTV, Lifetime, Lifetime Movie, MSNBC, Nick at Nite, OWN, Oxygen, Style, TLC, Travel Channel, USA, WE and the Weather Channel.
