Man Faces Trial In Midland Home Invasion Case 3-14-2011

Midland police investigators said he broke into his neighbor’s home and planted a baby monitor in their bedroom, but they claim a parolee named Paul Rivard didn't stop there.
Authorities said he also rearranged items in their home and torched their clothes. Rivard was in a Midland courtroom for the first day of a jury trial.
The Saginaw News reported that investigators said Rivard broke into his neighbor’s home several times between August and November.
If Rivard is convicted, this incident will not be his first home invasion.
State prison records show the 36-year-old was paroled in late 2008 after serving 10 years for second-degree home invasion.
