Flint Police: 3 Sunday Homicides Not Related 3-21-2011

Flint police continue to investigate three separate homicides committed across the city Sunday.
The latest one occurred near the intersection of White Street and Martin Luther King Avenue on Flint’s north side.
Police said a man was found shot dead in a crashed vehicle just after 6:30 p.m. Police said there were no bullet holes in the windows or windshield of the victim’s car.
In an unrelated slaying, police said the body of 40-year-old LeAnn Bates was found shot early Sunday morning on Loredo Avenue near Saginaw Road. Police responded to the shooting at about 4:20 a.m.
And just 3 miles away, a mother of six was gunned down at a home on Welch Boulevard, according to police. Police received a domestic dispute call just after midnight, when officers reached the scene they found Janita Clarice Martin-Ross shot to death.
An armed man was inside the home with the victim and was arrested, police said.
