Traffic Stop Turns Into Trouble For Local Rep 3-29-2011

A local state representative that had a run-in with the law a few months ago could be in for more drama.
Kurt Damrow, the Republican who represents Huron and Tuscola counties in the Michigan House, was stopped in January and got a $150 ticket for not having insurance.
But because authorities said Damrow didn't respond to court summons, he was found guilty and had his license suspended last week. And while he has now paid the fine, and his license has been reinstated, he could still be in trouble.
The Huron County Sheriff's Department is seeking a warrant to see if he was driving on a suspended license during that time.
The prosecutor’s office said they will review the case.
