Michigan Baseball Foundation Grants Total $101K 4-01-2011

The Michigan Baseball Foundation announced a total of $101,525 in grants will be given to 36 nonprofit organizations from 10 different countries.
Officials said this is marks making the fourth consecutive year that the grant total was $100,000 or more. Since 2008, the Michigan Baseball Foundation has awarded 124 grants in the amount of $402,115.
Reports said eight Saginaw County organizations received more than $23,000 in grants, 13 Midland County groups received $38,150 in grants and two Isabella County groups received $5,150.
Two separate Little League associations also received grants.
Michigan Baseball Foundation grant applications will be available again in November 2011.
The Michigan Baseball Foundation owns and operates Dow Diamond, home of the Great Lakes Loons, a Class A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
