Recovered Body ID'd As Missing Track Coach 4-02-2011

After nearly two months, the family of a Mid-Michigan man finally has closure and their questions answered.
Midland County authorities have confirmed that that the body of 62-year-old Robert Cole was pulled from Tittabawassee River late Friday.
Deputies from the Midland County Sheriff’s department were dispatched to the 4800 block of North Verity Court in Edenville Township at 3 p.m. on Friday, to investigate a report of an unknown object.
The body was found about 30 feet from the shore in about 4 feet of water, several miles down the river from Cole’s home.
Cole was a former teacher and a popular track coach at Meridian High School.
He was last seen on Feb. 8, when he looking for his daughter’s dog. Funeral arrangements are being made, but no dates have been released.
