Teen Pleads Guilty In Woman's Stabbing Death 4-05-2011

Sanilac County Prosecutor James Young told TV5 on Tuesday that Trinidad Paredes, 15, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of 24-year-old Jennifer Gonzales on Aug. 15, 2010 in her Croswell apartment.
Young said Gonzales, a mother of two, was stabbed multiple times by Paredes, whom she had been introduced to that day at a barbecue.
Young said Paredes appeared at Gonzales’ apartment unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Aug. 15, where they argued and he stabbed her.
Paredes entered his plea before his family and the victim’s mother, brother, family and friends on Monday.
Sentencing is scheduled before Circuit Court Judge Donald A. Teeple on May 16.
