Oprah Next Stop For Saginaw's Susan LeFevre 4-05-2011

A California woman who escaped from a Michigan prison in 1976 is telling her story to Oprah Winfrey.
The website of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" says Marie Walsh will appear Thursday.
The 56-year-old San Diego woman was arrested in 2008 -- 32 years after climbing a fence while in prison for a drug crime.
Walsh was known back then as Susan LeFevre of Saginaw. Winfrey's website said Walsh will talk about her life and her book, "A Tale of Two Lives."
Walsh spent another 13 months in prison after her capture. The Michigan Parole Board voted in January 2009 to release her from prison in May 2009 if she behaved well at the Huron Valley Correctional Facility.
“I hope people that are thinking about leaving their spouses because things are a little difficult will take an example from my husband,” LeFevre said upon release. “If he can stick through a wife that comes up with these kinds of surprises, then anybody can stay in a marriage.” When she was released, she said prison was "really terrible."
LeFevre will return to San Diego after her release and returned to using the name Marie Walsh.
Oprah airs on TV5 at 4 p.m. on Charter channel 7 and Comcast channel 5. TV5 will repeat the Oprah show on our MY5 channel at 10 p.m.
