Huge Road Win Propels Sting Into Second Place 4-12-2011
The Saginaw Sting have moved into sole possession of second place by beating the Huntington Hammer 49-42. Sting quarterback Tommy Jones had a huge day, throwing 46 completions for 269 yards. He also accounted for six touchdowns, passing for four and running for two. The Sting are now one game behind the first-place Northern Kentucky River Monsters. The Sting next play Friday at the Dow Events Center when they host the last-place Canton Cougars. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
