Event Held To Remember Dominick Calhoun, 4 4-12-2011

An event was held Tuesday to mark the one-year anniversary of the death of a 4-year-old boy who died after allegedly being beaten over four days for wetting his pants.
Family members of Dominick Calhoun removed him from life support one year ago after doctors advised them boy would not recover from his injuries.
A group of child advocates, friends, and Dominick’s loved ones honored him today by placing 1,000 blue pinwheels in the shape of an awareness ribbon at Finch Park in Linden.
They gathered from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the park across from Clover Beach on Linden Road.
A year ago, hundreds turned out for the boy's funeral and candlelight vigil.
Meanwhile, Dominick’s mother, Corrine Baker, and her boyfriend at the time, Brandon Hayes, await a trial date.
