Mich. Woman Missing Since 2004 Declared Dead 4-14-2011

A southern Michigan woman who disappeared seven years ago has been declared dead by judge.
Calhoun County Probate Judge Michael Jaconette on Wednesday ruled on the petition by the family of Mary Lands. The Marshall woman was last seen March 12, 2004. She was 39 years old at the time.
The case had been classified by the Marshall Police Department as a homicide, even though a body wasn't found.
Her disappearance sparked an extensive search. Police told the judge that nothing they've found in interviews and contacts with police agencies nationwide pointed to her being alive. No one has been charged in the case.
