Man Sentenced In Midland Home Invasion Case 4-14-2011

A Midland parolee will spend up to 25 years in prison after being convicted of breaking into his neighbor's home several times last year.
Paul Rivard, 36, was found guilty in March of second-degree home invasion and larceny following a two-day trial in Midland.
Prosecutors said Paul Rivard broke into the house, broke furniture and burned his neighbor’s clothes.
Rivard was also accused of planting a baby monitor in the bedroom of his neighbor’s home to eavesdrop on them. Rivard was not found guilty on eavesdropping charges.
Rivard has already served time in prison for similar charges back in 1996.
State prison records show the 36-year-old was paroled in late 2008 after serving 10 years for second-degree home invasion.
