Church Creates Sheen-Inspired Ad Campaign 4-15-2011

A Michigan church thinks it's come across a "winning" formula to draw more people to God and to its Easter services next weekend.
And it has Charlie Sheen of all people to thank for the inspiration.
The nondenominational NorthRidge Church in suburban Detroit is the force behind an ad campaign that features five freeway billboards, a series of online videos and a 160,000-piece direct mail blast.
The print ads read: "NorthRidge + Easter (equals) 'Winning!"' They play off Sheen's famous phrase, "Duh, winning!"
NorthRidge's senior pastor, Brad Powell, said he wants to "connect to people where they are."
Critics said NorthRidge's campaign isn't appropriate, considering Sheen's stated definition of "winning," which he says, in his words, involves "thousands of chicks and tons of cash."
