Child Pornographer Caught By New Task Force 4-15-2011

Authorities in Flint arrested forty-five year old Paul Smith this week, for possessing and distributing hundreds of child pornography images and video.
Smith had been tracked down by the Michigan Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
He has been charged with twenty felony counts because of evidence obtained from his computer that he was trading hundreds of child pornography images and movies on his computer.
Police say he was using child pornography on his computer at the time of his arrest.
Smith was living just two blocks away from Durant Turri Mott Elementary School.
Officials don’t believe that any local children were on his computer, but they will continue to investigate.
Neighborhood parents say that knowing their neighbor is accused with child pornography is very unnerving.
Police say some of the images were of children who were as young as two and three years old.
This is the first arrest for the task force since the unit was formed last month.
