A 49-year-old Detroit man is accused of having sexual contact with a coma patient inside her room at a nursing home.
The Wayne County prosecutor's office said Cornell Lowman was arraigned Tuesday in 36th District Court on fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and fourth-degree habitual offender charges.
The prosecutor's office said Lowman was visiting another person Sunday at the nursing home.
A witness called police after seeing the assault on the 65-year-old comatose woman. Lowman was arrested at the nursing home.
He was ordered held on a $100,000 bond. A preliminary examination is scheduled for May 2.
