The Great Lakes Loons are now tied for first-place in the Midwest League's Eastern Division after splitting a doubleheader against South Bend.
The Loons lost the first game of the doubleheader 4-3, before coming back to win the nightcap 4-1.
The West Michigan Whitecaps were also playing a doubleheader on Wednesday, but they won both contests to pull into a tie with Great Lakes for first-place.
The Loons now begin a 3-game series against the Dayton Dragons on Thursday.
Great Lakes will send Ryan Christianson to the mound.
Dayton has yet to name its game one starter.
The Dragons are sitting at 6-8 on the season, 3 games back of Great Lakes in the standings.
