Roman Pena scored the winning run on a single by Jesse Bosnik in the bottom of the ninth to enable the Loons to salvage a win in this three-game set.
Shawn Tolleson pitched a scoreless top of the ninth to pick up the victory.
Chad Rogers gave up the game winning run in the bottom half of the frame and falls to 0-1 in defeat.
Great Lakes takes Sunday off before traveling to Lansing on Monday to start a three game series against the Lugnuts.
