Mid-Michigan Churches Targeted By Thieves 4-25-2011

Police say thieves are targeting churches in the Mount Pleasant area, breaking in at night and stealing anything from computers to office equipment to small amounts of cash from Sunday collection plates.
The Morning Sun in Mount Pleasant reported that seven church burglaries have been reported in April.
Isabella County Undersheriff John Tellis told the newspaper that authorities are looking at the break-ins as being committed by the same person or persons.
Two were at churches in Mount Pleasant, about 120 miles northwest of Detroit. Five others were in nearby Union Township.
No one denomination is being picked on. Baptist, Presbyterian, Assemblies of God, Seventh-day Adventist are among the churches burglarized.
None of the buildings had video surveillance or other security systems at the time of the break-ins.
