Tips Sought In Montcalm County Slayings 4-29-2011

Police say they're seeking tips in the October stabbing deaths of a couple in western Michigan's Montcalm County.
Sheriff Bill Barnwell told reporters Thursday that investigators still don't know the motive in the Oct. 28 slayings of 59-year-old Michael Greene of Pierson Township and his 56-year-old wife, Kathleen.
Barnwell said, however, that a "large quantity of cash" and prescription medicine were taken from the Pierson Township home.
Investigators earlier had said they found no evidence that anything was stolen from the Greenes' home on Whitefish Lake, about 25 miles north of Grand Rapids.
Barnwell said they died of multiple stab wounds.
No arrests have been made.
The Greenes were found dead in their burning home. Detectives think someone set multiple fires in the home to cover up the slayings.
