Mid-Michigan Cemetery Chapel Vandalized 5-04-2011

Police are looking for the person or persons who vandalized a cemetery last month.
The incident happened Thursday, April 28 at Machpelah Cemetery in Flint.
Police said there was a large amount of damage to the chapel.
"The police are presently investigating, and we are confident that there will be arrests and convictions of the perpetrators," Leonard Meizlish, Congregation Beth Israel president said in a written statement.
Meizlish said someone sprayed anti-Semitic graffiti on walls, painted a swastika, flooded a lower level and that authorities found evidence that someone tried to start a fire.
The cemetery will remain open while repairs are being made. Meizlish said enhanced security provisions will also be put into place.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Flint police at 810-237-6800.
