Mott College Golf Team Wins State Championship 5-04-2011

Once again, the Mott Community College Bears have won a state championship. This time it was in golf.
The MCC Bears came in first in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association golf championship, played at the Island Hills Golf Club in Centreville, Mich., May 2 and 3.
Ten colleges fielded teams and 62 players competed in the tournament.
The MCC team was led by strong performances from Andrew Jared, who shot the lowest score of the 62 competing players, along with Mark Foster, who came in second-place, and Bruce Eccleton, who tied for fourth.
The combined scores of the MCC team were a full 15 strokes ahead of the second place Oakland Community College team.
This win means that MCC qualifies for the regional tournament.
