Missing DogÂ?s Owner Flies In Search Team 5-05-2011

A Colorado woman is doing all she can to find her beloved pet -- and that includes hiring a professional dog search-and-rescue team.
TV5's Catherine Bodak spoke with missing dog owner Gayle Johnson about the effort to bring her dog home.
“It was so hard to leave here with an empty dog carrier, getting on the plane and people saying, 'Oh do you have a dog in there?' 'No, no I don't today,'” said Johnson.
Johnson is from Denver and was vacationing in Bay City last month when she lost her fox terrier named CC. Since then, she's been taking drastic measures to find the missing pooch.
“Posters, fliers, signs; I have her on Craigslist,” said Johnson. “I have her on any kind of website I can find for missing dogs.”
CC was last seen near Killarney Beach Road almost a month ago and Thursday, Gayle came back to Bay City with a pet detective and a four-dog search team she had flown in from Nebraska, to the tune of nearly $2,000.
“We will go to her point of escape, we will go to the sittings where she was last seen and we will pick up her trail there,” said canine handler and missing dog specialist Karin Tarqwyn. “But she is four weeks ahead of us and hopefully we can gain a lot of ground today.”
Johnson is hopeful that someone has found her dog and she is offering a $1,000 reward for her safe return.
“She is a white dog with dock tail, meaning she has no tail, she has a black and tan face, her ears are pointy and she has a black spot on her butt,” said Johnson describing her dog. “She is my little angel girl and I very much just want her back with me.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of CC is asked to call 720-635-1559.
