Man, 22, Critically Injured In Quad Runner Crash 5-09-2011

A 22-year-old Sanford man remains in critical condition after crashing his off-road vehicle in Midland County Sunday afternoon.
The crash occurred just after 3:30 p.m. on Huckleberry near 11 Mile in Jerome Township.
Midland County Sheriff Jerry Nielsen said in a news release that witnesses reported the man was riding his 2007 Honda Quad Runner up and down the road doing wheelies prior the crash.
Nielsen said the driver, Ryan Michael Moe, lost control of the vehicle and was thrown off, causing severe head injuries.
He was transported to MidMichgian Medical Center in Midland and was later airlifted to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Nielsen said Moe was not wearing a helmet.
