The Saginaw Sting pulled to within one game of first place in the Ultimate Indoor Football League standings by beating Northern Kentucky 63-58 on Friday.
The Sting improved to 8-3 on the season with the win, while the River Monsters fell to 9-2.
Saginaw receiver LaVaughn Macon hauled in an 11-yard touchdown reception with only 10 seconds left.
Northern Kentucky had a chance to pull out the victory, driving down to Saginaw's 12 yard line with two seconds remaining but River Monster quarterback Jared Lorenzen was sacked to end the game.
Saginaw next plays Saturday night in Canton against the Cougars.
Canton is in last place in the standings at 1-10.
