New Information: Bay County Sewage Report 5-12-2011

TV5 has new information on the Bay County aspect of a sewage discharge report by the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association.
MITA listed Bay County as having the third-highest level of sewage discharge in the state in a report measuring sewage flow from January 2011 to the present.
Bay County’s Department of Water and Sewer director Tom Paige says the report may be accurate but he says none of the discharge came from the West Bay County Wastewater Treatment plant as TV5 showed in our story last night.
He says other plants in the county and in the cities of Bay City and Saginaw have had discharges into the Saginaw River and that could have caused the spike in Bay County’s composite number.
