Driver Seriously Injured In Fiery Rollover Crash 5-13-2011

Police in Flint are investigating a rollover crash on Dort Highway beneath the I-475 expressway.
It happened at about 3 a.m. Friday.

Police said a 36-year-old Mount Morris woman suffered serious injuries when the 2002 Pontiac Transport she was driving left the roadway and struck a cement support column.
At the point of impact, the unrestrained woman was ejected, police said. The vehicle flipped and caught fire after coming to a rest.
Police said the woman was transported to Hurley Medical Center and was last listed in serious condition.
Due to heavy smoke from the fire and explosion, rescue crews blocked off the entrance ramp from southbound Dort Highway to I-475.
Police said speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.
