Mount Pleasant May Close Alternative School 5-17-2011

The Morning Sun reports the Mount Pleasant district's school board is considering closing the Oasis Alternative School to save more than $300,000.
The district is also thinking about getting rid of bus runs in and near Mount Pleasant.
That move would reportedly save about $135,000
Leaders may also cut financial support for athletics in half.
The district is thinking of increasing the fees and asking parents to drive students to events.
