School System Accepting Out-Of-Town Students 5-25-2011

SAGINAW COUNTY, Mich. One local school district will be accepting students from other communities next school year, something that hasn’t been done since 2007.
The Saginaw News reported that Bridgeport-Spaulding Schools leaders have decided to accept out-of-district students in all grades.
Officials said the looming loss of state aid and state grant has forced them to take drastic measures.
The district’s Educational Services Center will also close at the start of the new school year. Officials say the move should save about $25,000 per school year.
