Loons Hammered By Dayton, 7-1 5-26-2011

Despite receiving nine walks from Dayton’s pitchers in Wednesday night’s game, the Great Lakes Loons only scored one run on two hits to lose 7-1 to the Dragons, putting the Loons on a four-game losing streak, their longest of the season.
The Loons got on the board first in the third inning with an RBI-double from Leon Landry, but the Loons found only one more hit: a single by Casio Grider in the fifth.
Offensively, the Loons have only registered one run in their last 21 innings.
The Loons will get up bright and early Thursday for Dow Diamond’s final School Kids Day of the season with first pitch scheduled for 10:35 a.m.
The Loons will send RHP Red Patterson (4-2, 3.40) to the hill against Dayton’s LHP Daniel Renken (1-4, 3.38).
