Bridgeport's annual bridge fest underway

Bridgeport's annual Bridge Fest is underway.

The four-day event started Thursday and wraps up on Sunday. On Friday, the carnival takes place from 2pm to 11pm and the entertainment tent is open from 4pm to Midnight. The evening also features fireworks at 10pm.

On Saturday, the day begins with a 5K run, starting at 8am at St. Christopher's Church. The car show takes place from 10am to 3pm and the parade starts at 11am, from Williamson Rd & State St to Baker Rd & Bearcat Blvd. The entertainment tent is open from 1pm-12am.

On Sunday, all events take place in Downtown Bridgeport, between Fort Rd & State St. There is a Lucky Ducky Derby from 1pm-2pm. Ducks to be launched at approximately 12pm from Fort Rd Bridge & will race to the Historical State St Bridge.

The historical State Street Bridge Dedication takes place from 1:30pm to 2pm and the Fire Dept BBQ is set for 12pm-4pm.
