One of Europe's finest classical musicians is coming to Caro.

Francesco Attesti, an internationally known concert pianist from Cortona, Italy, will perform a benefit concert on Sunday, June 26 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 140 Atwood Street in Caro.  Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the concert will begin at 6:30 p.m.

General admission tickets are $15 and are available for purchase now at State Street Pharmacy, 192 N. State St., Caro, or at the door the night of the concert.

This once-in-a-lifetime event is sponsored by Rotary Club of Caro (District 6310) and Thumb Area Center for the Arts (TACA).

All concert proceeds will benefit both local and international Rotary projects and TACA events, including youth workshops, theatrical productions, and art shows.

Attesti studied at the Mozarteum of Salzburg and the "L. Cherubini" Conservatory of Florence and has performed in internationally prestigious concert halls, including the Philharmonia Hall of Saint Petersburg, Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow, Mozarteum of Salzburg, and the Conservatory "G. Verdi" in Milan.

He will perform selections from Chopin, Liszt, Satie, and Verdi.

Attesti, a Rotarian, and Paul Harris Fellow from the Rotary Club of Cortona in Italy, will be hosted by a local Rotarian during his stay.
