Author to discuss baseball novel and world adventures

Michigan born author, Peter Schilling, Jr. will present "The End of Baseball: A Novel" on Wednesday, July 6 at 6:00 PM in the Kantzler Community Room at Wirt Public Library, 500 Center Ave., Bay City. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required at 893-9566 ext. 2122.

Peter Schilling, Jr. grew up in Freeland and Mount Pleasant.  After graduating from Michigan State University, Schilling worked as a sports writer and film critic.  He has been a freelance writer for over seven years and writes novels, graphic novels, plays and screenplays.  He is a member of the Society for American Baseball research.

His unique life experiences range from interviewing filmmakers, writing about the mayor of the world's smallest town, visiting the quietest spot on Earth, to receiving an invitation to witness a beheading in Saudi Arabia.  In addition to baseball, Schilling will talk about writing novels, graphic novels, and his most interesting adventures.
