WATERLOO, N.Y. (AP) -- Officials say the truck driver killed in a fiery overnight collision with a tour bus in upstate New York had a clean driving record.
Timothy Hume, of Dryden, who drove for Matrix Expedited Services of Flint, died when his tractor-trailer slammed into the back of a tour bus that was just pulling back onto the New York State Thruway at Waterloo.
Both vehicles were burned beyond recognition.
Michigan's Department of State says his driving record was clean.
The bus was carrying 52 passengers from Ontario to New York City. More than 30 people were injured, two seriously. Four remained hospitalized Friday morning.
The bus was operated by Farr's Coach Lines Ltd., of Dunnville, Ontario.
