Rocker comes home to perform in Mid-Michigan

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

A singer-songwriter who grew up in Frankenmuth is back in Mid-Michigan to perform this weekend.

Brent James ... known as Brent Grunow growing up ... took some time to visit MY-5 news this morning to talk about his trip to the area.

"I'm happy to be back and to see a lot of old friends," James told WNEM TV-5.

James and his group "the Contraband" just released their debut CD and will perform some of the songs from the album in Midland and Bay City.

James and his band have spent the summer touring with rocker Ted Nugent.

You can see James tonight week with Burnaround at the 702 Club in Midland and with Saving Abel on Saturday at the Labadie Pig Gig in Bay City.
